Our story

Rick and his wife Karen are lifelong Maryland residents. They have eight children together and raised fourteen more. Karen is a home birth midwife and supports many communities. She has been practicing for 35 years. Rick teaches carpentry and house building for Cecil County Public Schools in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. He has been an avid collector of trains, antiques, and toys and opened Chesapeake City Curios to share the joy of collecting with his community.
